Privacy Policy
Who we are
Pickd is operated by William Sobran, an individual based in Florida ("we", "us", "our"). Our website is at gotpickd.com. You can reach us at support@gotpickd.com.
What we collect
When you use Pickd, we receive:
- Account info you give us: name, email address, phone number, location, target job role, years of experience. If you create a Pickd account, your email is stored as your unique identifier.
- Resume content you provide: the LinkedIn paste or job-by-job entries you fill in, and the resume that gets generated from them. If you're signed in, the generated resume is saved to your account so you can edit it later.
- Profile info (optional): if you customize your Pickd profile, we store your headline, location, work preferences (remote / hybrid / in-office), open-to-opportunities status, salary range, industries, and profile picture.
- Payment info: handled directly by Stripe — we never see or store your card number. Stripe shares with us your payment status and a partial card identifier for receipts.
- Technical info: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, request timestamp) that our hosting provider Netlify keeps for operational purposes.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
How we use it
We use what you provide solely to:
- Generate your resume by sending the contents to Anthropic's Claude API.
- Email the generated PDF to the address you supply, via Resend.
- Process payments via Stripe.
- Respond to support requests.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it to train AI models. We do not share it with advertisers.
Third parties we use
- Anthropic processes your inputs to generate the resume content. Privacy policy.
- Supabase stores your account, saved resumes, and profile data. Privacy policy.
- Resend delivers transactional emails (sign-in links, resume PDFs). Privacy policy.
- Stripe processes payments. Privacy policy.
- Netlify hosts the website. Privacy policy.
- Cloudflare handles DNS and email forwarding. Privacy policy.
These providers may process data in the United States.
Storage and retention
Drafts of what you fill into the form are stored in your browser's localStorage so you don't lose your work between sessions. This data lives on your device — we do not have access to it.
If you sign in and create an account, we store your email, generated resumes, and any profile data you provide in our database (hosted by Supabase in the United States). Your data is protected by row-level security: only you can read or modify your own account, resumes, and profile.
If you have not created an account, your resume inputs are not retained by us after the resume is generated and emailed. Stripe keeps payment records as required by law. Server logs at Netlify are kept for up to 30 days.
You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@gotpickd.com. Deleting your account permanently removes your saved resumes, profile, and authentication record.
Your rights
You can:
- Email support@gotpickd.com to request deletion of any contact information we have about you.
- Clear your browser's localStorage to delete drafts on your device.
- If you are in California or the EU, you have additional rights under CCPA/GDPR (access, correction, deletion, portability, and to opt out of sale — though we do not sell data). Email us to exercise any of these.
Cookies
Pickd does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use your browser's localStorage to save form drafts. Stripe and other third-party services may use cookies during payment processing on their pages.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date and post the new version. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
